Ant infestations can become a real nuisance when they stray Into your premises. They generally live outside, under patios, pavements, decking, wall floor junctions etc.

Black ants are common from March-August, July is when they're really active, when they find a food source, they'll follow a pheromone trail into your premises. 

At SPS, we locate the nests and use a modern gel bait injected into each opening, this form of treatment is safe and targeted. We may opt to use a broad spectrum insecticide via a sprayer however... this form of treatment can be harmful to non target species.

Garden Ants love kitchens especially hospitality as there is always an abundance of spilt liquids and food debris. To avoid the vast numbers of ants in your premises, housekeeping is absolutely key, make sure all spillages are cleared away as they happen, pay particular attention to under counters and work surfaces. Empty your general waste bins regularly, sanitise them on the inside and outside, hoover all wall floor junctions to remove food debris. Disinfect floors and cupboards.
